Since the company was founded in 1969, Zanier's passion for mountain sports and outdoor experiences has been as boundless as its commitment to innovation. ZANIER pursues this quest for newness with the use of innovative materials, product developments such as Open Innovation Projects and product innovations such as gloves with integrated GPS in the early 2000s or the first glove heater in 1999.
Pioneer of heated gloves.
The hands suddenly begin to tingle, the fingers become cold and turn white. In most cases, these or similar symptoms are associated with a circulatory disorder. Freeride pro Anne Wangler also struggles with this. That's why the athlete relies on ZANIER's many years of experience and their innovative heating technology.
In 1999, as a pioneer, we launched the world's first heating gloves, and since then we have significantly increased our competence in the heating segment. ZANIER heating technology is based on highly developed textile heating elements and unique control electronics. The only 60g light, robust lithium-ion batteries heat up to 10h on 3 different stages. They are invisible and barely noticeable in the waistband of the gloves. The glove heater is easy to use – with a switch directly on the battery. The flame-shaped light indicates the selected heating level (yellow, orange, red). The included USB charger recharges the batteries overnight.
As a finger glove HEAT.STX, as a mitten HOT.STX and as a specially developed aviation model AVIATOR.GTX with GORE-TEX with Gore plus Warm Technology and PRIMALOFT® GOLD INSULATION ECO, the heating gloves have become one of the most important winter companions for many winter sports enthusiasts. With the Lobster model BACKCOUNTRY HEAT.STX, ZANIER responds to the increasing development for off-piste winter sports experiences also in the well-established heating segment. The backcountry heater is suitable for target groups with Sympatex® membrane, 4-way stretch and lots of goatskin, leash and is touchscreen compatible.
From the 2024/25 winter season, ZANIER will transfer the heating technology to other product groups, such as HEATED SOCKS. ZANIER heated socks warm feet for up to 10 hours with extremely light, small batteries.
In October 2022, we filed a patent for the 3-Finger Grip concept. An idea that was born during a challenging ski tour in cold weather: The 3-Finger-Grip concept in the ALPINE PRO GRIP.GTX model is the glove solution for all mountain sports enthusiasts who want to combine the positive features of a mitten with those of a finger glove: The 3-finger grip cut keeps hands pleasantly warm thanks to the optimal insulation of a mitten, while the implied subdivision of the fingers still offers an optimal grip feeling when handling. The glove innovation was nominated for the Ispo Award and carries Zanier's Low Impact Icon, as it is made predominantly from recycled materials.

The ALPINE PRO GRIP.GTX is waterproof and windproof thanks to the new PFC-free GORE-TEX ePE membrane (bluesign®, Standard 100 by oeko-tex®certified, improved carbon footprint), also the leather used is PFC-free. The warm insulation is made of genuine sheep's wool TIROLWOOL, with 4-way stretch material for comfort and TOUCH function.
