MTB or road bike? For many, it's almost a way of life. Some are into adrenaline, muddy trails and an extra dose of dirt in the face. Others chase wattage, love flowing asphalt and shaved calves. As different as the two worlds are, one thing is clear: without the right gloves, there is no connection to the bike.
But can you simply wear the same glove for both disciplines? Our answer: No. Why? Because the terrain, the position on the bike and the strain on the hands have completely different requirements - and these are reflected in the construction of the gloves.
Different requirements - different protection
On a mountain bike, you need safety, grip and protection above all else. Roots, stones, falls - here the glove becomes a protective layer. When riding a road bike, on the other hand, lightness, ventilation and endurance comfort are important. The handlebar contact point is sensitive, especially on long tours. Therefore, what a glove must be able to do differs significantly depending on the discipline - from the material to the fit to the finger length.

Gloves for the trail: grip, control & safety
If you're out on the trail, you need gloves that are robust - and can keep up when things get rough. The new MX is the perfect entry-level glove for this: it scores points with an abrasion-resistant microfiber upper material and a grippy Amara palm with silicone print - for full handlebar contact even in wet, dusty conditions or when changing direction quickly. The flexible material construction ensures maximum freedom of movement. Ideal for sporty laps after work, flowing trails or all-mountain adventures.
The MTB PRO is the right choice for anyone who regularly rides in demanding terrain. The palm with silicone print offers a reliable grip, while the pleasantly soft feel and supple fit are impressive on longer rides. The glove is available in several colors - and also as a precisely fitting youth model so that the next generation can keep up safely.
The SHREDDER is for those who don't compromise. Developed with bike pro Gabriel Wibmer, this model is aimed at anyone who wants everything in terms of performance, style and protection. With a perforated Amara palm for top control, silicone grip and touch function, the SHREDDER is a real all-round talent - ideal for enduro, downhill, trials or even motocross. This glove is also available in a specially adapted youth size for young riders.

Gloves for road bikes & gravel: comfort on long distances
It's a different story on a road bike: Here you don't need hard protectors or full protection, but a model that supports you lightly, airily and efficiently. The PROLOG is our classic for the road - an aerodynamic short-fingered glove with targeted gel padding, Amara palm and breathable 4-way stretch. Whether it's a leisurely ride or a day tour, this glove offers comfort without compromise. And: the PROLOG is also available as a youth model - ideal for young road riders who want to be functional on the road right from the start.
The RACE PRO is a little more technical. For all those who want to get the most out of their racing bike - whether in training or competition. With ultra-light 4-way stretch, a seamless fit and a grippy Amara suede palm, the RACE PRO is as aerodynamic as it is functional. It wears like a second skin and offers full control on the handlebars even in hot weather or at high speeds.

One glove for all types of cycling? Better not.
Of course, there are models that are somehow suitable for both. But honestly - would you go jogging in climbing shoes? A thick MTB glove will overheat you on a road bike, while a delicate road glove offers you no protection in the event of a fall on the trail. If you ride through loose trails with road bike gloves, you risk abrasions and loss of control. Conversely, a fully padded trail model will quickly become too hot - and uncomfortable - on the asphalt.
That's why we recommend: two disciplines, two glove models.

Also for kids: fully equipped
Good to know: All of the above models - MX, MTB PRO, SHREDDER and the PROLOG - are also available in junior sizes. This means that young bikers can ride safely, comfortably and stylishly on any terrain - right from the start.
