Philipp Schörghofer is a former Austrian ski racer and can look back on impressive successes: At the FIS Alpine Ski World Championships, he took gold with the team in Vail/Beaver Creek in 2015 and in Schladming in 2013. He achieved silver and bronze in Garmisch-Partenkirchen in 2011, in the team and giant slalom respectively. He also secured bronze in the giant slalom at the FIS Alpine Ski Junior World Championships in Serre Chevalier in 2003. In the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup in giant slalom, Schörghofer stood on the podium a total of six times, including one first place, one second place and four third places.
At the end of April 2019, Schörghofer announced the end of his active career and began his new life as an entrepreneur for his ski company Augment, commentator, presenter, testimonial and more. Thanks to his current work as a TV expert and stadium announcer (e.g. in Sölden), Schörghofer is still at the heart of the ski circus after his career and can put his experience to perfect use.
