ZANIER SPORT GMBH IS ONCE AGAIN THE OFFICIAL SUPPLIER OF THE ÖSV SNOWBOARD TEAM FROM THE 24 | 25 SEASON
Starting in the 24/25 season, Zanier SportGmbH will be supplying gloves to the Snowboard Austria team. The equipment contract applies to all ÖSV alpine snowboarders competing in the disciplines of snowboard cross, parallel slalom (PSL), and parallel giant slalom (PGSL). A total of 40 athletes, from the national team to the junior squad, as well as their coaches, will receive equipment from the Innsbruck-based glove specialist.

From 2008 to 2019, the glove specialist from Tyrol was the official glove supplier to the Austrian Ski Federation (ÖSV) snowboarders. During this time, the Austrian market leader worked closely with the Austrian snowboard team to develop gloves for slalom and, at that time, also for freestyle. The collaboration with Benjamin Karl was particularly close, as the former Zanier headquarters were located not far from his home in Lienz, East Tyrol. The golden racing mittens that Markus Zanier presented to Benjamin Karl during his double World Championship victory (PGSL, PSL) in La Molina are legendary, and the exceptional athlete kept them along with the rest of his equipment – he delivered gold medals one after the other (five-time world champion, Olympic champion). Now there is a revival of the successful collaboration between Snowboard Austria and Zanier Gloves, and with Karl and his colleagues delivering, the golden gloves are not far away again.
