Even though Zanier is a brand that feels most authentic in endorphin sports, as a glove specialist we carry racing models. Our racing gloves accompany international athletes during training, races and on the podium. In the World Cup, at world championships and at the Olympics. We also maintain close ties with the users of our products in alpine racing: FIS athletes provide us with valuable feedback on our products so that we can continue to develop them further.
Zanier racing gloves on the podium in Kitzbühel
Dave Ryding has been a Zanier athlete since 2016 and gave us one of the most emotional moments in the #zanierfamily! Dave was crowned England's most successful Alpine World Cup skier in January 2022 when he won the slalom in Kitzbühel on the legendary Streif. This was not only Dave's first victory in a World Cup race, but also the first World Cup victory by a British athlete since the Alpine Ski World Cup began! Dave "The Rocket" Ryding makes one thing clear with his statement "I learned skiing on plastic mats!": you don't necessarily have to have grown up in the mountains to make it to the top in skiing! Through his example, he also inspires the younger generations in his home country to make their dreams come true.

buy now!Benjamin Karl, Snowboard Pro.
Welcome back to the #zanierfamily, Benji! For many years we were able to work together with the likeable Austrian as part of the ÖSV snowboard equipment. Since 2003, the PGSL and PS pro has brought home gold, silver and bronze at three out of four Olympics. He is a three-time overall World Cup winner and three-time PGSL WC winner. Benji has won five World Championships, countless European and National Championships and has been awarded all the sporting honors a European athlete can receive. An incomparable snowboard pro career that is still going strong. We don't want to close this chapter "Cooperation partners who have become friends" for a long time yet. From Benji's double world championship title in 2009 onwards, Zanier CEO Markus Zanier made sure that he was exclusively equipped with golden gloves for years. Currently (end of January 2024) he has extended his lead in the parallel giant slalom with three consecutive victories! The "small" crystal globe – the PGSL World Cup 2024 - is now in Benjamin Karl's pocket. He is still fighting for the overall World Cup - the "big crystal globe" - and we are keeping our fingers crossed for him! Benjamin has been showing what physical and mental strength means for years.
Benjamin Karl's ChoiceXtreme.xgx Mitten
Benjamin Karl chose the X-Treme.xgx Mitten model. One of the reasons is certainly the Gore-Tex membrane, which keeps him dry when in contact with snow while carving. The outer material of the glove also offers protection right down to the fingertips: X-TREME.XGX Mitten is a flexible, smart race mitten with paddings all over the backhand. GORE-TEX with Gore Grip technology ensures lasting waterproofness and optimum tactility. Backhand made of robust microfiber with casual camouflage print, palm made of high-quality, PFC-free leather for optimum grip. Comfortable neoprene cuff for the wrist, practical leash allows the mitten to simply dangle from the wrist in warm weather. The finger inner glove provides a better grip.

buy now!The US slalom youngstersLuke Winters, Jett Seymour and Ben Ritchie.
The three US slalom and giant slalom skiers Luke Winters, Jett Seymour and Ben Ritchie have been Zanier athletes since the 22/23 season. Luke Winters has been on the US team for six years. He made his foray into the world elite during the 2021/22 season, finishing in the top ten three times. Jett Seymour made his World Cup debut in the slalom in Alta Badia in December 2020. At the 2021 World Championships in Cortina d'Ampezzo, he was in tenth place after the first slalom run, but was eliminated in the decision. Two years later, he achieved the first top World Cup result of his career with seventh place in Chamonix. Ben Ritchie is the youngest of the three US slalom stars. Two weeks after his first NorAm victory, Ritchie made his World Cup debut in the slalom on the Lauberhorn on January 20, 2019. He scored his first World Cup points on January 25, 2022 with 23rd place in the slalom in Schladming.
All three athletes meet with Gottfried Tönig, our Austrian Sales Manager, every season. The junior slalom skiers use both models - X-Treme.XGX and Gate Killer - to protect their hands from pole contact during slalom.
As we not only support these athletes, but also the next generation, such as the Neustift Ski Middle School, we of course also stock all racing gloves as youth models.
