Like Zanier Gloves, the Swiss start-up Bachgold® also stands for reliable products designed to accompany and protect you on your outdoor adventures. For innovation. For a responsible approach to the environment. And, of course, for #mymountainpassion. Anyone who spends a lot of time outdoors in nature knows how important access to clean drinking water can be. With the innovative Bachgold® outdoor water filter, which consumers can now also find in our online shop and which Zanier distributes to European specialist retailers, you can enjoy fresh water at any time – and in just a few seconds! How this product works and what makes it so special? In this article, you will learn everything about the Bachgold® outdoor water filter and its advantages.

This is how the Bachgold® outdoor water filter with hollow fibre technology works.

The Bachgold® outdoor water filter is a practical all-in-one solution and the perfect companion for your outdoor adventures. That's because with the patented filter system, you can get clean drinking water anywhere and anytime in just a few seconds. No more tedious hauling of water, no uncertainty about quality. Just you, nature and clean water at all times. Compared to conventional water filters, the Bachgold® outdoor water filter impresses with its compact design and easy handling – simply fill it, screw it in, and you're done.

Thanks to the integrated hollow fibre ultrafiltration membrane and the activated carbon filter, the filter removes up to 99.99% of all bacteria, protozoa and microplastics. Protozoa are single-cell organisms that live in water and soil. Some of them can cause disease in humans. With a pore size of just 0.2 micrometres, the filter system is particularly fine and ensures safe drinking water.

How to use and maintain your Bachgold® water filter efficiently so that it continues to work well.

The Bachgold® Outdoor Water Filter has an impressive 1,500-litre filter capacity, which corresponds to about 2,500 cycles Once you notice that the filtering process requires more power, it is time to change the filter element. If the filter is not used, it will last at least two years if stored properly. While the hollow fibre membrane has an almost unlimited shelf life, the activated carbon filter loses its effectiveness over time, but does not have to be replaced immediately.

To maximise the lifespan of the water filter, it is essential to look after it properly. All parts – except for the filter element – can be easily cleaned in the dishwasher. The filter element itself should be rinsed under clear water after each use, dried thoroughly and stored in a clean, dry place.

Important: The filter is only suitable for filtering fresh water and can withstand temperatures up to a maximum of 40°C. To prolong its lifespan, chemicals such as soap or vinegar should be avoided when cleaning, as they can affect the filter performance. This way, your filter will always remain hygienic and ready for use.

Who is behind Bachgold®? The start-up from Switzerland.

Behind Bachgold® are Jerome and Laurenz from Switzerland – two passionate outdoor enthusiasts with a boundless spirit of adventure. Their goal: to enable outdoor fans to enjoy the same freedom that they themselves enjoy – without having to worry about clean drinking water. Since the initial product idea in October 2020, Bachgold® has continued to develop: with the launch of their filter on Amazon, their own online shop and expansion into the USA. Today, they are represented on well-known marketplaces such as Otto and Decathlon. Zanier Sport GmbH will represent Bachgold® in European specialist retail from the second half of 2024, which is why the filter is now also available from us in our online shop!

Shared values for a sustainable future.

What do we have in common with Bachgold®? A love of nature. Of innovation. Of untroubled, carefree and sustainable outdoor experiences.

For me as an entrepreneur and father, environmental protection is a human, not a strategic goal. Since 2019, we have been the first climate-neutral glove brand, and since 2023, the first ClimatePartner-certified glove brand worldwide. We are constantly looking for further potential for avoidance and reduction." – Markus Zanier, CEO Zanier Gloves

The calculation of our corporate carbon footprint for the period from January 2023 to December 2023 has resulted in a CO2 amount of 11,678.57 kg. This is a significant reduction compared to the previous year, when the carbon footprint was 59,874.71 kg. Emissions that remain despite reduction and avoidance in Zanier's value chain are offset by international climate protection projects.

Bachgold® is also actively involved in charitable projects, such as supporting Viva con Agua Switzerland. With 1% of their income, they support a drinking water project in Nepal that provides people there with access to clean water, basic sanitation and hygiene training. So far, 100,000 people in village communities and 21,000 schoolchildren have benefited from these measures. Bachgold® believes in the power of community and that great things can be achieved together. So with every purchase of a Bachgold® self-press water filter, you are helping to sustainably improve living conditions in western Nepal.

With a shared passion for outdoor adventure and a sense of responsibility for sustainable solutions, we want to offer you products you can rely on. From gloves to water filters, we are your trusted partner for #mymountainpassion.
